FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN

1. DISCOVERY SERVICES

Browse our website to discover the variety of  “Packages” we provide for your project’s journey. Familiarize yourself with our “Creative Brief Guidelines” to understand the digital assets recommended for production. Should you decide to proceed, kindly navigate to our “Creative Brief Submission” page where you can complete and submit a questionnaire. Upon receipt, our team will assess whether Boars Hill Press aligns with your requirements. Subsequently, you will receive an email notification regarding the project status, indicating either ‘Accepted’ or ‘Declined’.

2. CREATIVE BRIEF

From your Project Brief Submission we brainstorm a creative brief tailored to your genre, target audience, story elements, and book files. This high-concept idea serves as the blueprint for constructing a script.

3. SCRIPT

Leveraging the provided brief, we transform your written elements—tag lines, blurbs, book description, and plot lines—and craft a compelling script.

4. FOOTAGE &
MOTION GRAPHICS

We select and compile production elements such as typography, graphic backgrounds, visual effects, and high-definition stock footage, along with your marketing files, to integrate into the editing process.

5. AUDIO PRODUCTION

Possible music tracks and sound effects will be gathered to reflect the style outlined in the creative brief. If required, voice over talent will be explored.

6. POST-PRODUCTION

Our editors combine all production components to create a preliminary cut. A screener version will be shared with you for feedback. Following your input and approval, our artists enhance the video sequence with edits and animations, which is then followed up with sound mixing to produce the final cut.

7. DELIVERABLES

You receive a link to your video uploaded on Boars Hill Press’ Youtube channel, and a link to download your high-resolution video file/s.

8. BOOK PROMOTION

If you are book launching, growing your email list, or driving traffic that will convert to sales, we encourage you to upload or embed your book trailers and posters at these locations for increased publicity, advertising, and marketing.

Project Acceptance Policy

At Boars Hill Press, we strive to produce high-quality book trailers that faithfully represent your work. However, due to the limitations of available stock footage, there may be some discrepancies between the book and the final trailer. These discrepancies may include differences in the physical characteristics of main characters, location settings, and other visual elements. As we are sure you have experienced when seeing your favorite works of art on the big screen, adaptations often involve some changes. We reserve the right to accept or decline project requests based on our assessment of these limitations and our standards for the end product. Our goal is to deliver a trailer that represents your work in its purest form, within the constraints of the resources at our disposal.

Licensing and Content ID

Please be aware that while we hold the necessary licenses for all content used in our projects from reputable media libraries, YouTube’s automated systems may still flag videos with copyright claims due to the Content ID system. This system is designed to protect the rights of artists and creators whose work is licensed for use.

These claims can usually be resolved by submitting the appropriate license documentation to YouTube. This is a standard practice across the industry and not something to be alarmed about. We understand it can be inconvenient, but it ensures that artists are properly credited and compensated for their work.

In the event of a YouTube copyright claim, we offer two solutions:

  1. We can handle the claim process for you by uploading the video to our site and managing the license verification directly.
  2. We can sublicense the rights to you at no extra charge, allowing you to dispute the claim yourself with the necessary documentation.
